Former President George H.W. Bush is back home after spending the last week in the hospital, his office said.
"President Bush was released from the Houston Methodist Hospital today. He is now resting at home, grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care," family spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement Tuesday.

The 90-year-old Bush was taken to the hospital by ambulance last Tuesday after experiencing shortness of breath.
In 2012, he spent nearly two months in the same hospital undergoing treatment for a bronchitis-related cough.
