December 31, 2014
The incident is said to have unfolded at the Pita Pit.
Country singer and former child actress Jamie Lynn Spears reportedly sprung into action last weekend inside of a Louisiana fast-food restaurant, pulling a knife to defend a friend who was attacked by another woman.
The incident is said to have unfolded at the Pita Pit in Hammond, Louisiana, after her friend was allegedly hit with a bottle, according to sources who spoke with TMZ.
Spears, the 23-year-old sister of pop star Britney Spears, reportedly helped her companion to safety behind the restaurant counter, grabbed a massive bread knife and began wielding it in a successful effort to stop the fight.
When police arrived, her friend decided not to press charges, TMZ reported.
Spears, who has not publicly confirmed these claims, posted a photo to her social media platforms Saturday night that featured her and a friend; it was taken just hours before the incident, according to TMZ.
The message accompanying it read, "Happy Birthday @brandiblair22 !!! #nofilter"

The Hammond Police Department told TheBlaze that a representative would not be available to speak about the alleged incident until Friday and Spears' representative said she has no comment on the story.
Spears recently spoke with TheBlaze about her country music career and her struggles and triumphs after having a baby when she was just 16 years old.
