What One Father Thought Was a 'Bag of Garbage' Ended Up Being a Wonderful Christmas Surprise

"We just want these gifts to go to where they belong."

Brandon Clark admits that when he first saw the odd-shaped bundle on his front porch on Christmas Eve, he thought it was a "bag of garbage."

But when Clark saw the contents of the bag were wrapped presents, he quickly realized he was mistaken. His wife, Brittany, opened the bag and found each present had a name on it, totaling "about nine different kids' names."

None of the names belonged to their children, and the Lorain, Ohio, couple said Santa was already set to visit that night.

"We just want these gifts to go to where they belong," Brittany told WJW-TV.

The Clarks asked neighbors if they knew anything, posted about the matter on Facebook and even asked their landlord about the previous tenant. But the landlord said the previous occupant hadn't left any forwarding information.

The family has set up an email address in case the anonymous gift-giver wants to contact them directly.

“Our kids get a good Christmas every year,” Clark said. “Whoever they are, they deserve to get a good Christmas too.”
