Naked, Pregnant Woman Jumps Into Her Car and Ends Up Crashing Into Her Boyfriend — and Even Though She Died, the Story Could Still Have One Positive Ending

"They may have had a disturbance."

Police are investigating a bizarre and tragic incident in which a naked pregnant woman crashed into a building and into another vehicle her boyfriend was driving before being fatally thrown from her truck.

Doctors delivered Monica Ramirez's baby before she passed away hours after the accident on Thursday; she was six months pregnant, according to WFAA-TV.

Police claim that the incident unfolded after the couple got into an argument around 2 a.m. Thursday morning before getting into separate cars and driving off.

Houston Police Department Sgt. J.D. Rossman said that initial reports claim that a fatal car chase possibly ensued, according to the Associated Press.

"Initial reports is that they were boyfriend and girlfriend and that they were possibly following each other," Rossman said, according to KPRC-TV. "They may have had a disturbance."

After one of the vehicles crashed into the other, both cars reportedly lost control and hit an auto care facility.

Ramirez, who was driving a Dodge pickup truck and was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was reportedly reportedly thrown from the vehicle, suffering traumatic brain injury and dying a few hours later, according to KHOU-TV.

Her boyfriend, Anton Aleksandrov, suffered less serious injuries and is said to be cooperating with authorities. No charges have been filed.

According to KHOU-TV, records show that Ramirez had previously sought a protective order against Aleksandrov back in August after accusing him of abusing her. Authorities say alcohol might have been a factor in the tragic incident.

The baby is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit.
