The IRS targeting conservatives, VA scandal, 'Fast and Furious,' Air Force One flyovers, NSA spying: President Obama learns about scandals via news reports

"I wouldn't be surprised if President Obama learned Osama bin Laden had been killed when he saw himself announcing it on television."

According to Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's email scandal is something he learned about from news reports.

This is nothing new. Almost a year ago, the Washington Free Beacon produced a montage showing the president and his former press secretary, Jay Carney, claiming that the Commander in Chief learned about at least five of the scandals nagging his administration by watching the evening news.

Here's the montage from May 2014:

Two years ago, Jon Stewart noticed this trend too. In a brutal segment mocking all of the scandals circling the White House at the time, Stewart slammed Obama's claims of learning about scandals from the nightly news saying, "I wouldn't be surprised if President Obama learned Osama bin Laden had been killed when he saw himself announcing it on television."

Watch the segment from 2013.
