Map: Google Autocomplete Shows What People May Be Most Interested in Buying in Your State

What's the most commonly Googled price in your state?

The finance blog Fixr published a map that reveals the costs with which people in every corner of the country appear to be the most interested — or at least the ones they most commonly searched for on Google. Each of the findings are based on Google's top autocomplete search suggestion while typing in "How much does * cost in [capital city], [state]."

Some of the queries were for ordinary, everyday or recreational must-haves, like a gallon of milk, gas, electricity, fishing licenses and passports. In other parts of the country, however, the suggestions were a little less G-rated.

Perhaps taking the "what happens in Vegas" maxim to heart, Nevada's top autocomplete cost suggestion was for "prostitutes" — as was Connecticut's.  In Arkansas, the top result was "breast implants," while in Oklahoma it was "breast lift." In Virginia and California, the search engine returned "facelift" first and in North Carolina it suggested a "nose job."

Probably unsurprisingly, the top suggestion in Colorado was for "weed," and in New York, it was a "pound of weed." Google turned up "abortion" first for both Alabama and Florida.
