When Christian Jacobs was only 8-months-old, his father — Marine Sgt. Christopher James Jacobs — died in a training accident in California.
Now Christian is 4 years old. And on Memorial Day 2015, he and his mother Brittany arrived with many other families at Arlington National Cemetery to remember their loved ones who died serving their country.
For Brittany, she wants Christian to know all about his dad who did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"When he got here the first thing he did was run up and hug the stone," Brittany told CNN of her son, who wore a replica Marine dress uniform to the cemetery. "He didn't want to leave it."

"He likes coming here and he was excited about coming here," Brittany added. "He said, 'I get to go see my daddy.' My daddy's resting place is what he calls it so he was looking forward to coming out here."
And Christian read aloud a message for his father —
"I hope for you to come back soon, Daddy. And I love you and hope for you to be here. I know you will be here and I love you. And he is always watching over me and makes sure — he's proud of me, Daddy. And I love you, Daddy."
