Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert — two of country music's biggest stars — have announced that they are divorcing after just four years of marriage.
"This is not the future we envisioned," they told the Associated Press in a joint statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues."

Shelton and Lambert asked for "privacy and compassion" as they navigate the "very personal matter."
The two — who have been no strangers to tabloid reports about purported troubles in their relationship — met 10 years ago at the taping of a CMT concert, where they performed together. They married on May 14, 2011, USA Today reported.
