"Moments later, a tall black man approached the car pushing a baby in a pram."

A man in London was caught on camera keying an Aston Martin, causing approximately $14,000 in damage, the Metropolitan Police Service said.

Authorities published video of the incident on Facebook Monday as an appeal to find the man responsible for the action.

"Officers from Hackney would like to trace a man with a baby in a pushchair after he deliberately keyed £9,000 worth of damage to an Aston Martin," police said.

The keying took place on June 19, according to the Metropolitan Police Service.

"The driver of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage had parked his car at 10:30hrs in a supermarket car park on Morning Lane, Hackney and left his dashboard camera turned on as he went shopping," police said.

"Moments later, a tall black man approached the car pushing a baby in a pram. He took out a bunch of keys from his pocket and scraped them down the passenger's side of the vehicle causing £9,000 worth of damage," authorities added.

A motive was not immediately clear.

The footage published online immediately went viral, amassing nearly 2 million views just nine hours after it was posted to Facebook.
