SAN ANTONIO (TheBlaze/AP) -- A Texas sheriff says a man who had his hands raised when deputies gunned him down was armed with a knife.
Bexar (bayr) County Sheriff Susan Pamerleau told the San Antonio Express-News on Tuesday that Gilbert Flores was carrying the knife when the deputies confronted him Friday outside of a home northwest of San Antonio.

She says the deputies believed Flores was holding the knife when they shot him and that investigators are reviewing video of the confrontation.
Pamerleau previously said Flores was armed but she didn't say what type of weapon he allegedly had.
A motorist captured video showing the 41-year-old Flores standing motionless with his hands raised in apparent surrender when he was shot. A utility pole obscured one of his arms, though.
Texas news station KSAT-TV published graphic video from the incident on Tuesday. It shows the actual moment that Flores was fatally shot.
The station reported that deputies were responding to a domestic violence call. Both are paid administrative leave pending an ongoing investigation.
