CNN’s President Reportedly Gets an Earful From Staffers Fed Up With Excessive Donald Trump Coverage

They were not happy.

CNN employees are reportedly fed up with all coverage Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been getting from the network.

That's according to The Wrap, which reported on Thursday that CNN President Jeff Zucker recently got an earful at a network town hall.

More from The Wrap:

At a network town hall on Thursday, producers complained about the obsessive coverage the network has given the GOP frontrunner, including airing full campaign rallies and an endless amount of segments dedicated to Trump.

One producer expressed concern that the network, as TheWrap first reported, bumped an Anderson Cooper special on the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina last month to air a post-Trump-rally hour hosted by Don Lemon.

Responding to the criticism, Zucker simply told his employees, "we are not perfect."

As for Cooper's pre-recorded Hurricane Katrina special, Zucker said the network delayed airing it until Cooper came back from vacation.

CNN is set to host the second Republican primary debate, which will include Donald Trump, on Wednesday.
