Miss South Carolina's Answer to Gun Question Is Getting a Lot of Attention: 'Do You Support a Ban on Military-Style Assault Weapons?

When Miss South Carolina Daja Dial was asked if she supports a ban on “military-style assault weapons” at the 2015 Miss America pageant on Sunday, she was prepared to answer.

Here's the question that was asked:

"America loves our Second Amendment, but gun violence continues to be a tragic problem. Do you support a ban on military-style assault weapons?"

“I don’t,” she replied. “If we teach people the proper way to use guns, then we will reduce the risk of having gun-related accidents. It starts with education.”
