Kentucky Clerk Reveals What She Did While in Jail That 'Probably' Had Some Thinking She Was 'Insane

"You know what I while I was in there?"

Kentucky country clerk Kim Davis revealed Wednesday during a Fox News interview what she did to fill her time in church that "probably" had some inmates thinking she was crazy.

Davis, who was jailed for a week after she refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, was speaking with host Megyn Kelly about her time inside the jail cell.

"You know what I did while I was in there? I sang praises to Him to the top of my lungs. They probably thought I was insane in there," Davis said.

When Kelly asked if she was allowed to speak to anyone, Davis replied without hesitation.

"I was by myself, so I talked to the Lord," she said.

Nevertheless, Davis told Kelly that "people in the jail, hardened criminals" voiced support for her while she was jailed.

After being jailed earlier this month, Davis still refuses to issue same-sex marriage licenses. That task is now being carried out by her deputies with her name removed from the actual paperwork.
