Excruciating' Dispatch Audio From Deadly Oregon Community College Shooting: 'Suspect Is Down!

Dispatch audio from Thursday's deadly shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, captures officer exchanging gunfire with the suspect and eventually confirming the suspect was "down." At least seven people were killed in the shooting and at least 20 others were injured, according to officials.

"We are exchanging shots with him, he's in the classroom," an officer can be heard saying in the audio.

A short time later, an officer confirms to the dispatcher, "The suspect is down!"

CNN's Brian Stelter flagged the audio, which he called "excruciating."
