Get Some, Boys!': Listen to Blaze Staffers React to Witnessing Airstrike Against Islamic State Targets Near Iraq-Syria Border

Two staffers of TheBlaze were eyewitnesses to an apparent airstrike against Islamic State militants near the Iraq-Syria border on Monday.

TheBlaze TV researcher Jason Buttrill and head writer Dan Andros are currently in Iraq gathering footage and information for the upcoming premiere of TheBlaze TV’s “The Root.”

Andros told TheBlaze they found themselves looking on as suspected Islamic State mortar positions were pummeled by the airstrike. He said their sources were confident it was a U.S.-led attack.

It’s common for the U.S. to carry out airstrikes against Islamic State targets in the same area where the staffers witnessed the strike on Monday. Four similar airstrikes were carried out in the area on Sunday. Due to security reasons, TheBlaze isn’t disclosing their location.

“Get some, boys!” Buttrill can be heard shouting in raw video footage taken near the airstrikes.

“Yessir!” Andros reacted.
