UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Addresses Her 'Choice Words' for Floyd Mayweather After Beating Him for 'Best Fighter' Award

Ouch.

After UFC champion Ronda Rousey beat out Floyd Mayweather for “best fighter” at the 2015 ESPY Awards in July, she delivered a strongly worded message to the boxer’s face. She confirmed as much during a Tuesday night appearance on the “Tonight Show.”

“I said something to the effect that now he knows what it feels like to have a woman beat him for once,” Rousey said.

Rousey and Mayweather have been exchanging verbal jabs for months now. It all started after Rousey claimed she could beat him in a no-rules mixed martial arts-style fight. Mayweather disagreed.

Mayweather has since pretended like he doesn’t know who Rousey is and boasted about making over $300 million.

In response, Rousey mockingly said she earns more than Mayweather “per second” because she is much more “efficient” in winning her matches.
