Reporter ‘Got This Response’ When He Reached Out to Donald Trump for Comment: ‘Mr. Trump Said…’

A Washington Post reporter who requested a comment from Donald Trump for a story he was working on was probably a bit surprised by the response he got back.

"Just reached out to Donald Trump for a story and got this response," reporter Ben Terris announced on Twitter where he shared the note.

Terris' tweet about the incident was circulated widely on Twitter, amassing more than 775 retweets.

The story he was apparently working on was a "Washington Post investigation" into whether or not the real estate tycoon cheats when he plays golf. Terris wrote that he "thought it was [an] even handed" story.

Trump's brash behavior to the press is nothing new. The billionaire has not frequently gone after reporters and news outlets when he doesn't think he has been treated fairly.
