October 16, 2015
"They took everything."
PHILADELPHIA (TheBlaze/AP) -- Police say someone broke through the walls of two downtown Philadelphia businesses and escaped with about $250,000 in cash and merchandise from a jewelry store.
Time & Gold owner Matena Kamara tells Philly.com the burglar or burglars first gained access to the basement of a storefront two doors down before breaking through a wall into the basement of a dry cleaning business next door. From the dry cleaners, the burglars drilled through another wall into Time & Gold.
Kamara said she discovered the damage when she opened the store just after 8 a.m. Thursday.
