Sarah Palin Boosts Ted Cruz and Donald Trump: 'This Is What We Need Today
December 15, 2015
"That's a good problem for voters to have.."
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been a fan of Donald Trump since he jumped into the Republican primary race, but according to the former Republican vice presidential candidate, Trump isn't the only Republican she supports.
Speaking with CNN's Jake Tapper Monday evening, the conservative firebrand confirmed that her choices for the 2016 Republican nomination are both Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
When asked by Tapper to choose between the two, Palin said that she's not going to endorse either candidate at this point in the cycle.
"But what a nice problem to have, if it came down to Cruz and Trump," Palin added. "That's a good problem for voters to have, because they are both strong and very decisive."
"That is what we need today," she continued, "and both of those candidates fit that bill."
While Palin was highly laudatory of Trump for the majority of his campaign, it still remains to be seen in whose basket Palin will place her eggs; however, whichever candidate she backs is likely to see a large boost as the Palin endorsement is highly valued among many conservative voters.
