"Who cares?"
News of Donald Trump's debate withdrawal broke just before MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews" hit the airwaves, so the host opened the show discussing the Republican presidential frontrunner's move — with a bit of a twist.
Matthews asked, "Who's gonna watch a debate between the two Cuban guys?" Referencing GOP candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, Matthews added, "Who cares?"
As you might expect, some viewers didn't take too kindly to Matthews' words:
