Biker Says His Helmet Cam Happened to Capture the 'Last Thing I Would Expect to See' From an Officer

"His intent was to hit the bikers for sure."

Fort Worth, Texas, police are investigating a Facebook video appearing to show one of their officers spraying pepper spray into a group of oncoming motorcyclists, WFAA-TV reported.

According to WFAA, a group of approximately 200 motorcyclists were driving on U.S. 287 in Fort Worth on Sunday. One participant recorded the drive and captured video of a police officer appearing to exit his vehicle and spray pepper spray into the group.

Jack Kinney, the man who recorded the video on his helmet camera, told WFAA, “It's the last thing I would expect to see.”

Asked if it was possible that the officer felt threatened, Kinney rejected the notion.

"If you're worried about safety, why would you pepper spray a large group of bikers like that?" Kinney said, adding that “nothing justifies” spraying blinding material into oncoming traffic, as it could have led to fatal accidents.

Chase Stone posted Kinney’s video on Facebook.

During the big ride today we had a law enforcement officer, that looked as if he was pulling over a truck, stepped out of his vehicle with mace in hand and began spraying it towards the riders with intention of causing an accident!!! This is a video EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH!! Law enforcement is here to protect and serve, not intentionally try to harm others... Please, share this video with others to raise awareness about these particular behavior's being displayed by many of our local law enforcement employees.***THIS WAS BEYOND DANGEROUS***East Texas HeatFor licensing and usage, contact: licensing@viralhog.com

Stone told WFAA that he believes the officer's "intent was to hit the bikers for sure, there’s no doubt about it.”

"His intent was to send somebody down, if not to cause a major accident with that spray," Stone said. "When you put other people’s life in danger, it's just uncalled for."
