Obama and Clinton Appear to Have Synchronized Their Attacks on Trump

"If you think about it, Willie, that actually does save money...If you have one speech writer and one speech, you just go, 'two copies.'"

Shortly after noon Tuesday, speaking from different locations, President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton addressed the Orlando shooting, gun control and, in a fashion, Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

The comments delivered by both Clinton and Obama appeared to share much of the same language and talking points, which was noticed by social media.

In case you missed one or both of the speeches, MSNBC gathered the overlapping statements and made this supercut:

Immediately after playing the above montage, Joe Scarborough and the "Morning Joe" panel discussed the seemingly obvious coordination.

Addressing show regular Willie Geist, Scarborough said, "If you think about it, Willie, that actually does save money. ... If you have one speech writer and one speech, you just go, 'two copies,'" said Scarborough.
