Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen and his wife, Noor Salman, reportedly exchanged text messages during his attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Sunday.
According to CBS News, Salman texted “I love you” to Mateen during the attack.

NBC News reported that Mateen’s mother called Salman around 2 a.m. Sunday to ask if she knew where Mateen was. Salman told her she didn’t know, then texted Mateen, "Where are you?"
He replied: "Do you see what's happening?"
"No?" Salman wrote.
"I love you, babe," Mateen wrote.
Salman tried to call Matteen several times during the attack.
According to CBS, Salman has been interviewed by the FBI and "is cooperating with their investigation." She reportedly told authorities that she tried to prevent her husband from carrying out the attack.
The terrorist attack left 49 people dead and 53 injured.
