IndyCar driver Conor Daly was at the Kokomo Speedway for a memorial service honoring fellow racer Bryan Clauson Wednesday when a severe storm and tornado ripped through central Indiana.
According to Indianapolis' Fox59, a tornado warning was issued for Howard County and everyone was told to seek shelter as the massive storm struck. At one point, a tornado touched down near a shopping mall and completely leveled a Starbucks.
Daly, driving away shortly after the tornado passed, saw the demolished Starbucks, calling the sight "unbelievable" in a tweet about the wreckage. In a follow up post, the driver showed what appears to be other buildings also struck by the tornado.
"Never seen anything like this before," he wrote.
