Evan McMullin has a response to those voting for Trump just to keep the Supreme Court 'safe

Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin has heard a frequently invoked reason for voting for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as often as you probably have.

The worry that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will win the White House and pull the court far to the left is a legitimate concern, but it's a concern McMullin says voters should dismiss. His reasoning? According to the former CIA operative in his latest YouTube video, you wouldn't be getting much different with either candidate.

"Let's remember Donald Trump is a salesman. He's trying to convince us that he would appoint conservative and pro-life justices to the court," says McMullin. "But Trump is known for not telling the truth. For over 30 years, Trump's position on abortion was exactly the same as Hillary Clinton's. Like Clinton, he favored abortion for any reason, at any time."

"Beyond the topic of life, Trump's lack of respect for the Constitution should concern anyone who believes in the rule of law, and limits on executive power," he continues. "His attacks on minorities, on religious liberty, on the First Amendment, and on judges mean that even a conservative court risks having an authoritarian President Trump completely disregard the law, and the separation of powers."

McMullin is currently trailing Trump in Utah, but just barely. Whether videos like these will sway people away from Trump, and return Utah to McMullin remains to be seen.
