Voters in Alabama will head to the polls to pick a Senator to replace Jeff Sessions who ran off to become Trump's attorney general, while voters in Utah's 3rd Congressional District will replace Jason Chaffetz, who ran off to become a commentator for Fox News.

This election is being watched intently as President Trump came out in support of Luthor Strange, who was appointed by former Gov. Robert Bentley to replace Sessions.

Some Conservatives, however, support Huntsville Congressman Mo Brooks for the position.

The Decision Desk people offered a caveat for these elections: "If no candidate receives 50% of the vote, the top two finishers will go to a runoff in September. To avoid confusion, we will not be making a race call (with a checkmark) unless a candidate wins outright and avoids a runoff."
