Senior Pentagon soldier posts warning to ISIS on Facebook: 'Surrender or die!
January 11, 2018
The Pentagon's senior enlisted member used Facebook to issue a warning to the remaining Islamic State fighters: "Surrender or die!"
Army Command Sgt. Maj. John Wayne Troxell's shared his post on Tuesday using a series of hashtags, #SEAC3 #DefeatDaesh #ISIS_SurrenderOrDie.
Troxell serves as a voice for enlisted service members, according to The Washington Post.
Along with the warning, the post features a photo of an entrenchment tool, collapsible shovel, used by the U.S. military.
“ISIS needs to understand that the Joint Force is on orders to annihilate them,” he wrote in a forceful message on Facebook. “So they have two options, should they decide to come up against the United States, our allies and partners: surrender or die!”
He went to say, "If they surrender, we will safeguard them to their detainee facility cell, provide them chow, a cot and due process."
"HOWEVER, if they choose not to surrender, then we will kill them with extreme prejudice, whether that be through security force assistance, by dropping bombs on them, shooting them in the face, or beating them to death with our entrenching tools."
"Regardless, they cannot win, so they need to choose how it's going to be."
His message reiterated a speech he made last month during a stop in Afghanistan on a USO holiday tour.
