Actress and singer Jana Kramer gets baptized, proclaims Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior: 'I made my faith public'

Actress and musician Jana Kramer shared a raw and moving video featuring her baptism on social media, proclaiming Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

In a widely viewed video, a barefoot and nervous-looking Kramer could be seen approaching a baptismal at what appears to be a church service and climbing inside after hugging and kissing a small child.

Clearly emotional, Kramer can be seen in the baptismal covering her face with her hands before she is immersed in the water.

She captioned the video, "I don’t have the words yet ... I will ... but for now ... ‘In the name of Jesus, there is healing.'"

Kramer later took the experience to Instagram, where she shared a follow-up post.

She wrote, "This is my battle cry."

"This," she continued, "is the day I stopped walking alone. The beauty is ... I was never alone. He was always walking with me ... I just didn’t think I deserved that. If I’m honest I didn’t know how to trust it or if I could trust it at all."

"Looking up to a 'father figure' with my past was hard to believe or have comfort in," the entertainer admitted. "I didn’t think he would stay. That he wouldn’t hurt me. So I pushed God away for years. But last year in the brokenness and quite moments alone, I realized I wasn’t truly alone. That HE was there. That HE never left. God was just waiting for me to come to him."

She continued, "And I have ... and today I made my faith public and it feels really good to know no matter what happens next on this journey of life, HE is next to me walking with me. God is walking with you too through all the good and bad times, so let HIM in. I hope this encourages someone to take that next step because you aren’t alone ... 'In the name of Jesus there is healing.'"

Kramer split from her ex-husband, former NFL player Mike Caussin, in 2021 after seven years of marriage.

The athlete made headlines in 2016 following a cheating scandal and stint in rehab.

According to Us Weekly, Kramer filed for divorce in 2021 after reportedly finding out that Caussin cheated on her in recent months.
