Billy Joel dares intruders to hit his house again: 'I got dogs, lights, guns...'

'I'm hoping they try it again'

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Billy Joel told the audience at his Madison Square Garden show Thursday night that he is well prepared if intruders try to make a second run on his Long Island home after a break-in last month.

The singer even dared the perpetrators to hit his house again, saying, "I got dogs, lights, guns, everything at the house now."

What are the details?

Joel's home was broken into and vandalized in late January, while the performer was away at his last performance at Madison Square Garden. WABC-TV reported at the time that the intruder or intruders damaged a dozen of Joel's cherished motorcycles and a home office at the residence.

According to TMZ, the burglar or burglars broke in by shattering a glass door accessing the piano man's garage. Nothing was reported stolen, and no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the crime.

"Last time I was here they hit my house," Joel told the crowd Thursday, recalling the incident. "I guess everyone knows I'm not home. I got dogs, lights, guns, everything at the house now. I'm hoping they try it again. Come, come! Bring it on! Anyway, everyone is fine."
