Dr. Phil tells Joe Rogan the cold, hard truth about the medical industry pushing transgender ideology on children

Dr. Phil McGraw is calling out the medical industry for pushing radical pro-trans ideology on children.

During a conversation on "The Joe Rogan Experience" about how institutions of power are pushing their ideologies on children, Dr. Phil criticized medical organizations for promoting trans ideology despite a lack of scientific evidence.

"It's interesting they choose words like 'gender-affirming care.' That's interesting that they call it that. But really what they’re talking about is hormonal therapy or sex reassignment surgery on children," Dr. Phil said.

"The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Endocrine Society or whatever the exact name of that is — all of the major medical associations have signed off on this," he continued. "I have never seen those organizations sign off on anything with less information as to whether or not it does long-term harm of anything in my life. When I ask about that, when I bring that up, then they immediately label you as 'transphobic.'"

Importantly, Dr. Phil noted that several European countries have rolled back and severely restricted their "gender-affirming care" because science shows it does more long-term harm than good — if it does any good at all.

Moreover, Dr. Phil challenged the argument that trans activists use to bully people into affirming their view: that not affirming someone's feelings about themselves leads that person to suicide.

"Their reason for [promoting trans ideology] is it stops this drive for suicide — that there's a suicide epidemic. It doesn’t fix that," he said. "It doesn't fix all the comorbid issues that come along with feeling like they're in the wrong body. But yet they're pushing this."

Later in the episode, Dr. Phil condemned teachers and school systems that promote hiding information from parents about children who are struggling with gender dysphoria.

"I've talked to a lot of teachers, and they're telling me that they have a duty to the children that if the child is not ready to talk to their parents about this, that it's OK for them to keep a secret from [the parents]," he revealed.

The problem, Dr. Phil explained, is that gender dysphoria is "either a psychological phenomenon or a medical phenomenon" — and because teachers are not trained in either field, they are not qualified to make decisions about children struggling with gender dysphoria. More importantly, teachers who encourage students to lie to their parents are negatively interfering in the child's relationship with their parents.

"Their justification for that is, 'Well, if the child goes home and announces this, or if we tell it to the parent, then the child could get abused, the child could get judged, the child could get kicked to the curb.' But they have to admit, statistically, that that is very rare. And if that's the case, that's what we have the Department of Child and Family Services for.

"But you don't come between the child and their parent," Dr. Phil said. "The parent has the right to know what's going on."
