Disney is being accused of hating homeless people over advertisement for new 'She-Hulk' superhero series

A marketing ploy for the new "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" Marvel superhero series on Disney+ is backfiring after social media users noticed that the advertisement was placed on public benches with features meant to ward off the homeless.

The new show features a lawyer superhero related to the Hulk character and has been characterized as a workplace comedy.

However, many on social media did not find it funny when they saw the anti-homeless bench with an ad for the show at the world premiere at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Photographs of the ad were posted on social media.

The "anti-homeless" bench was also featured in a poster for the streaming series.

Many registered their anger on social media over the bench with extra armrests intended to deter homeless people from sleeping atop of them.

"Why does the she hulk bench have anti homeless architecture," asked one tweet that garnered over 141k likes.

"Yo if aliens attack, she hulk will be there to punch them and throw them through your house, but don't you DARE sleep on her bench when you're homeless," joked another tweet.

"I can’t even imagine how soulless the executives that demanded the anti-homeless bumps on the bench for the she-hulk poster have to be," replied another user.

"People just now realizing the despite all the talking points and pandering that Disney is still a soulless corporation that hates poor people," read another response.

"Glad to see she hulk is protecting us from societies REAL villains! Homeless people!" read another popular reply.

Homelessness has reached crisis levels in California where previously liberal residents paying for million-dollar homes have had to contend with crime and trash plaguing many of the cities.

The new show premiered on the Disney+ streaming service on Thursday.
