Wanted: Police seeking woman who urinated on potatoes in Walmart

Things you see at Walmart

Police are seeking a woman who reportedly urinated on some potatoes in a Pennsylvania Walmart.

What are the details?

The alleged incident recently took place at a Walmart in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

Police are looking to identify the female suspect, who was caught on store surveillance footage.

According to KDKA-TV, the woman reportedly urinated on a bin of potatoes shortly after entering the store. After the alleged act, she left.

The woman — who is described as having dark hair — was carrying a bag, a cellphone, and apparently wore earbuds.

The store immediately remedied the situation by disposing of the affected produce, and thoroughly cleaned the area in which the incident took place. A Walmart representative told WPXI-TV that they witnessed the alleged incident. A shopper also told the station that she was "horrified" by the incident.

"My first reaction is one, kind of horrified. I realize that some people have issues that might lead them to do things that might be considered unusual," said customer Beth Elliot.

A statement from Walmart reads:

The safety of our customers is a top priority for us. This type of obscene conduct is outrageous and we immediately disposed of the affected products and sanitized the area to ensure its cleanliness and safety for our customers. We're working with the West Mifflin Police Department to find the responsible party and have them prosecuted.

Any information related to the incident can be reported to the West Mifflin Borough Police Department at 412-461-3125.

Anything else?

This latest incident is the simply the next in people doing unsanitary things in public to foods that they did not purchase.

Earlier this month, a viral video emerged on the internet showing a female suspect licking ice cream and placing it back inside a store freezer. The incident took place at a Texas Walmart.

Police officers later located the suspect, who they reported was under the age of 17.

According to previous reporting, the young woman's viral video inspired some copycat ice cream lickers.
