'Watch your mouth, motherf***er': NBA star Russell Westbrook gets in fan's face at halftime while young boy — apparently fan's son — watches

NBA star Russell Westbrook of the LA Clippers was caught on video Sunday dropping an F-bomb while arguing with a Phoenix Suns' fan during halftime of the Clippers-Suns playoff game — and right in front of a young boy, whom Outkick reported is the fan's son.

What are the details?

The video opens with Westbrook standing near the fan, who's seated on a couch, and a Suns' security worker standing between them.

"What? What happened, bro?" the fan asks Westbrook while standing up to face him.

“Watch your mouth!" Westbrook orders the fan.

"Take it like a man!" the fan replies.

"Watch your mouth, motherf***er, watch your mouth!” Westbrook tells the fan as the young kid, formerly working on a plate full of food, turns around to gaze at the NBA star.

“Talk about it, be about it!” the fan shouted as Westbrook walks through a hallway to the court.

The clip doesn't record what led up to the exchange, but Sports Illustrated — citing FanDuel’s Eddie Gonzalez — said the fan called Westbrook “Westbrick," which is an unfortunate reference to Westbrook’s shooting percentage.

The close-up exchange between the fan and Westbrook materialized because visiting players often use the club-level area where it all went down as a shortcut between the locker room and the court, Sports Illustrated added, citing AZCentral's Duane Rankin.

Sports Illustrated, citing the Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, reported that the NBA is investigating the incident but that Westbrook is unlikely to face a suspension. Indeed, Westbrook is no stranger to conflicts with fans.

"Someone is gonna take a shot at the title one day. Westbrook needs to stop confronting fans like he is a hardcore fighter. There are some bad dudes that have nothing to lose out there," one commenter wrote. "Eventually, he will not have security with him, and he has so much more to lose than his pride."

Another commenter countered, "I thought sports games were supposed to be fun. That fan is a definite fun killer."

Another commenter opined that the young boy who watched it all go down "is learning two awful lessons, one from his own father, another from sum1 who needs to keep his cool better, cuz EVERYONE is jealous of you, Russ, don't even let these small ppl in ur head dawg."
