Bannon is back at Breitbart -- here's what's next

Steve Bannon is out of the White House as chief strategist and has taken up residence at his old post with Breitbart.com. He is now Executive Chairman of Breitbart News, telling the Weekly Standard, “I’ve got my hands back on my weapons.”

He also declared the presidency of Donald Trump over, blaming the Republican establishment for not furthering his agenda.

Mike Opelka asked Breitbart London’s Raheem Kassam, “Did he ever really leave?” on today’s “Pure Opelka.” Kassam confirmed that Bannon did keep his White House work separate from his contacts at Breitbart. “There were restrictions,” he confirmed.

He also said that “Donald Trump’s inclination is toward the Steve Bannon school of thinking,” which includes “economic nationalism” in regard to the bad trade deals of the previous administration.

But Kassam is concerned that the president is now surrounded by people who are “not helpful” in getting a conservative agenda done. Including Bannon, he told Mike, “We know who around the president is a problem, and we’re going to let the world know that, too.”

To see more from Mike, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “Pure Opelka” weekdays noon--3 p.m. ET, "Pure Opelka Replay" weekdays midnight--3 a.m. ET & “Pure Opelka” Saturdays 6–9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
