Ann-Marie Murell of Politichicks talked to Mike Opelka today on "Pure Opelka" about a very interesting and somewhat blood chilling thing she noticed while watching "Leah Remini: Scientology and the the Aftermath" on A&E.
Scientologists have been known to use intimidation to stop people from leaving the faith or reporting on it, going so far as to paint those who question it as "suppressors" or undesirables, if not outright crazy. She realized that sounded pretty much exactly like the tactics used by the modern Democrat party.
She was so taken by the similarities that she wrote a Facebook post which lists a series of sentences and asks the reader to guess if it's a statement from the Church of Scientology or the Democrat party. Anyone opposing either group will be publicly smeared, and they attempt to destroy anyone who defies or criticizes them.
Murell pointed out that both use Hollywood celebrities to defend their causes, and create programs that sound wonderfully helpful, but in reality are used to pull those helped by them into their cause. They also encourage family members to shun anyone who doesn't believe exactly as they do, which is sadly evidenced on Facebook walls around the nation.
