Listen: Great-grandfather mourning loss of 8 family members in Texas shows the power of faith

People of faith know their beliefs make a difference in their lives. Nowhere is that more evident than when people can find peace after tragedy.

At 86, Joe Holcombe is now mourning the loss of three generations after the gunman in Sutherland Springs, Texas killed eight of his family members, including his son and four great-grandchildren.

“We know where they are now,” Holcombe told the New York Times. “All of our family members, they’re all Christian. And it won’t be long until we’re with them.”

On today's show, Glenn had some heartfelt words about how faith allows us to make sense of our lives.

"I fail to understand the people who want to take down Christianity," Glenn said. Faith "makes me a better man," he added. "It helps me explain the world that I live in."
