We all know exercise and healthy food are essential for living longer – but for some reason, people think they can ignore the importance of sleep and not pay a price.
How often do you hear people brag about not getting enough sleep? Matthew Walker, a sleep scientist at UC Berkeley, spent four and a half years writing a book about the “catastrophic sleep-loss epidemic” that’s contributing to your risks for diabetes, obesity, heart disease and more. People should be getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night, but our society sees losing sleep as a negotiable thing or even as a mark of status.
Keith had the headline on today’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.” He offered a possible solution: the “Pause Pod,” a glorified tent invented by the tech industry.
