House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was given an unusual title on “Morning Joe” Friday. The show hosted by Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski introduced her as the “speaker-to-be.”
Pelosi served as Speaker of the House under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama; she was succeeded by Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) when Republicans gained the House majority in 2009. After Hillary Clinton’s crushing loss and big Republican gains in the 2016 election, Democrats have been promising a reckoning when Americans return to the polls for midterm elections in 2018.
Mike Opelka pointed out the “speaker-to-be” moment as an example of progressive arrogance while guest-hosting Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
After former FBI director James Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee yesterday, liberals are coming out of the woodwork to comment, Mike asserted. “There’s a lot of emboldened progressives out there hitting every camera and microphone,” he said.
During her appearance on “Morning Joe,” Pelosi had some snarky advice for Trump: "Get some sleep. Bring yourself to a place where the synapses are working."
