Palestinian president demands removal of Temple Mount cameras in Jerusalem

Here are the headlines from ZION news:

- A group of Jewish settlers in the West Bank city of Hebron illegally invaded and are now occupying a building near the holy Cave of the Patriarchs. Jewish families were evicted from the building in 2012 when they couldn’t prove they had legal ownership and are now trying to take it back by force.

- Tensions are still high in Jerusalem after Israel removed its metal detectors from the Temple Mount and replaced them with cameras. The Palestinians are claiming the modified security measures are still unacceptable.

- The Palestinian President Abbas has frozen all security coordination with Israel in response to Israel’s security cameras on the Temple Mount.

- Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi is promising justice for the two Jordanians that were shot and killed by the Israeli guard at the Israeli embassy as he was defending himself during the attack.

- Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara have visited families of the two Israeli police officers murdered earlier this month at the Temple Mount. The High Court ordered bodies of attackers returned to families with restrictions.

- Israeli Defense Forces detained a lone Palestinian man who was illegally jumping the Gaza border. Though his intentions are unclear, an army spokesman has confirmed that they found a knife on the man at the time of his capture.

- Yotam Polizer, Co-CEO of IsraAid, spoke at the ILTV studio about the group that helped to bring Nadia Murad, a Yazidi woman who was captured and held as a slave by ISIS, to Israel.

- An army of nearly two hundred Jewish LGBTQ leaders in the United States are urging Israel to reverse its position on adoption for same-sex couples.
