Zuhdi Jasser talks 'triggered Islamists,' backlash over his Duke University speech
April 03, 2018
Don't miss this week's episode as Zuhdi Jasser shares with you the controversy that erupted this week at Duke University.
The Muslim Student Association was invited to attend his speech this week entitled "The American Muslim Identity: Patriot or Insurgent." But apparently, any conversation about the incompatibility of Islamism with Americanism triggers Islamists.
Zuhdi was vilified by the Duke Chronicle newspaper and the Muslim Student Association and its allies at the Duke Chronicle Newspaper and beyond without a single substantive argument or quotation and without yet having even spoken.
Also in this week's episode:
- How young aspiring Islamists are threatened by leaders of the Muslim Reform Movement and what it means to their power
- Mustafa AKyol's piece in the New York Times about how Islamism drives Muslims away from Islam
- What is Islamic shariah-compliant financing?
