Sara Gonzales: The left has officially launched a war on babies

Blaze Media host Sara Gonzales posted a compelling video rant after Senate Democrats blocked the Born-Alive bill — a bill introduced by Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) that could have charged a health care practitioner with a criminal offense if the practitioner is found guilty of failure to offer proper care for an infant who has survived a botched abortion.

In the video, Gonzales asserted that Democrats "officially launched a war on babies," adding that the party now appeared to be more interested in the protection of illegal immigrant from being deported than in the basic human rights of an infant.

On Monday, senators voted 53-44 to block legislation, failing to meet the 60-vote requirement.

"The bill would amend the law to now explicitly prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care the case of a child who survives an abortion or an attempted abortion," Gonzales summarized.
