Privilege checklist SHAMES heterosexuals for being born STRAIGHT

Project Humanities at Arizona State University declared that if you are heterosexual, then, you guessed it, you are privileged. Chad Prather shed light on one of Sam Killerman's privilege lists that he created to "help people of privilege learn to empathize with other non-privileged individuals."

If you have immediate access to your loved ones in case of an accident or emergency, you are privileged. At least, that is what Killerman believes. He also lists receiving congratulations for an engagement, public displays of affection without fear of violent reactions from others, and openly living with your partner as examples of heterosexual privilege.

Chad gave an overview of Killerman's list and made a most convincing case to expose the hypocrisy of this list of "privileges." "Here's the problem," Chad explained. "People who are gay say they are born that way. Then, by logical conclusion, people who are heterosexual are born that way too. There are statistically more heterosexuals than homosexuals, so you are shaming and subverting the dominant paradigm and are blaming people for the sheer fact that they are in the majority. You want them to feel shame for the way they were born.

"So, in essence, that is the same logic you say people are using against you. You say there is prejudicial action coming against you for how you are born. So which is it? What's it going to be? Killerman is using the same problematic circular reasoning."

Killerman's perceived "straight people only" privileges include "learning about romance from fictional movies" and "sharing insurance policies at reduced rates." This listis one of many found on the Project Humanities website.
