Chanel is launching a new makeup line for men because 'beauty is not a matter of gender
August 21, 2018
Chanel is launching its first makeup line for men, and Doc Thompson is drawing a line in the sand on this one. On Tuesday, Kris Cruz and Doc had differing opinions on the matter.
Boy de Chanel is set to launch in South Korea on Sept.1 and includes a moisturizing matte lip balm, a tinted fluid, and four shades of eyebrow pencils. The franchise for boys is named after Boy Capel, the late Gabrielle Chanel's longtime flame.
In a statement, the company said: “By creating Boy de Chanel, its first makeup line for men, Chanel reaffirms the ever-changing codes of an unchanging vision: Beauty is not a matter of gender, it is a matter of style."
According to progressives, the line isn't only for men, it can be worn by all genders. The idea that it is "for men" is only for packaging and nothing else.
Doc maintained that society has got to stop this. "This is very serious," Doc said.
