Glenn Beck: Here's what we learned from the IG report on the FBI's Clinton investigation

What's going on?

An inspector general's report about how the FBI handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server was released on Thursday. While it didn't acknowledge political bias in the investigation, the report came down hard on former FBI director James Comey. (Learn more about the report with our explainer here.)

What else should I know?

The IG report revealed more details into the political bias of an FBI attorney who was involved with the Clinton investigation as well as another FBI employee, who wrote in a text message, "Trump’s supporters are all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy *POS that think that he will magically grant them jobs for doing nothing. They probably didn’t watch the debates, aren’t fully educated on his policies, and are stupidly wrapped up in his unmerited enthusiasm.”

Glenn's take:

On today's show, Glenn broke down some of the highlights of the unwieldy 500-page report. Here are some of the ways the IG described Comey's behavior:

  • "Extraordinary and insubordinate"
  • "Not reasonable"
  • "Engaged in ad hoc decision-making"
  • "Serious errors of judgment"

"It goes on and on," Glenn said, noting that if Comey hadn't already been fired, he would be in trouble now. "This report destroys Comey's behavior."
