John Della Volpe is a veteran pollster at Harvard University and found that millennials are embracing socialism at "alarming rates."
The survey took place at Elon University in North Carolina in a room filled with 150 students. It was conducted for Harvard University's Institute of Politics and found that 42 percent of our youth say they support capitalism but only 19 percent said they identify as capitalists. An astounding 33 percent said they support socialism and 48 percent believe in government-run healthcare.
“Young Americans are sending a strong message. They care deeply about the future, but are concerned that the current state of our institutions and our politics is not sufficient to meet our nation’s challenges,” said Della Volpe to the Washington Post.
Pat discussed the findings and explained why China's version of capitalism led to prosperity.
