Taxes were at the center of a CNN town hall debate between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) last night and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly, CNN was praised for hosting such an informative discussion and Cruz, again, proved why he is the MVP of the GOP as he provided sensible solutions for tax reform and presented a sound economic plan while Sanders just wailed over taxing the rich.
Cruz highlighted the difference between facts and rhetoric while Sanders harped on wealth creators paying their fair share and college freebies.
"It drives me out of my mind when they set up these false, straw man arguments and then just expect us to say, 'Oh, yeah, that's right,'" asserted Pat. He also informed viewers of Sanders' tendency to site only extreme cases like the Walmart family. See the clip to get Pat's full take on the debate.
