Texas sixth-grader killed by pickup truck during nationwide student walkout

Jonathan Benko of Parkland Middle School in El Paso, Texas, was killed by a passing truck on Loop 375 last Friday. He was participating in a nationwide student walkout to protest guns organized by his school the morning he was killed.
According to the El Paso Times, Benko, who was 11, was killed after leaving school around 10 a.m. that Friday by a blue Ford F-150 driven by 61-year-old Jesus Diaz.
