University of Minnesota considers punishing staff and students who use incorrect 'gender pronouns

In a postmodernist society, nothing makes sense. That's why we see headlines like this every day. In the realm of utter insanity, the latest headline comes from the University of Minnesota regarding a proposed policy regarding speech.
What's going on?
The university is considering punishing students who either fail or refuse to use "preferred gender pronouns" when addressing their colleagues and classmates. If students fail to adhere to the stipulation they may be subjected to either forcible removal or outright termination of employment.
School facilities, according to the College Fix, will all be based on the gender students identify with and not their biological sex.
A draft of the policy first began making headway last year, reported the Star Tribune. The list of pronouns includes but are not limited to he, she, or "ze."
