Megyn Kelly hits Obama for blaming election loss on Fox News

Fox News Host Megyn Kelly criticized President Barack Obama for implying that her employer was partially responsible for his party’s election losses.

“When he was specifically pressed on the Democrats' shellacking, the president said it was not his policies or his party,” Kelly said. “Instead, he blamed Fox News. Still. It isn’t getting old for him apparently.”

“If this sounds familiar, it should,” Kelly said before playing a montage of the president’s critiques of the network.

During an interview with Rolling Stone published Tuesday, Obama blamed Fox News and his party’s failure to campaign at a “grassroots level” for Democrats’ election losses.

“And I think that part of it has to do with our inability, our failure, to reach those voters effectively,” the president said. “Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country, but part of it is also Democrats not working at a grassroots level, being in there, showing up, making arguments.”

Obama also suggested that fake news shared on social media may have played a role.

“It’s making people exaggerate or say what’s most controversial or peddling in the most vicious of insults or lies, because that attracts eyeballs,” he said.

As TheBlaze noted, Obama bemoaned fake news to Rolling Stone, an outlet that has recently been found guilty of publishing fake news.
