Rachel Maddow blames viewers for her over-hyping Trump tax reveal

In the wake of the anticlimactic reveal of portions of President Donald Trump's 2005 tax return on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC news program Tuesday night, reports have begun surfacing that the mishandling of the report is causing friction between MSNBC and NBC executives.

For her part, Maddow blamed the poor reception of the reveal on her audience: "Because I have information about the president doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily a scandal. It doesn’t mean that it’s damning information. If other people leapt to that conclusion without me indicating that it was, that hype is external to what we did."

Friday on "The Morning Blaze," Khal Elsebai and Doc Thompson discussed how this incident illuminates the left's refusal to take responsibility for their own errors.

"This is actually pretty typical. She's blaming you," Thompson pointed out. "No personal responsibility or accountability. It's your fault if you believe this."
